Kelowna Golf & Country ClubThis Kelowna golf course, home to one of Western Canada's most prestigious amateur golf tournament, The Ogopogo, is known for its beautiful setting, fine grooming and outstanding traditional layout. Originally designed by well-known Pacific Northwest architect A.V. Macan, the golf course underwent some rerouting in 1996, seeing 4 new holes constructed. An adjacent pear orchard was purchased and Graham Cooke and Associates were retained to design the new holes. The traditional flavor of the course was maintained and the new holes opened for play in 1998. Water comes into play on 6 holes with holes 13, 14 and 15 being referred to by some as Kelowna's version of 'Amen Corner'. Never boring, always challenging the Country Club is truly an outstanding members' course. View other Kelowna Golf Courses, Vernon Golf Courses, Salmon Arm Golf courses, Kamloops Golf Courses |
