The AT&T National Pro-Am Golf Tournament returned to Pebble Beach February 7-13, 2005. Played on Poppy Hills, Spyglass, and the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links, the annual tournament features top professionals and celebrities playing side by side in an effort to raise money for charity. Besides Monterey County's most famous resident, Clint Eastwood, who is now part-owner of Pebble Beach, other celebreties include actors Andy Garcia, Kevin Costner and Samuel L. Jackson; musicians Huey Lewis and Michael Bolton, and sports stars Lynn Swann and Emmitt Smith. Even Tommy Smothers and Donald Trump made appearances.
Pro players included 2005 champion, Phil Mickelson, as well as Davis Love, III, Vijay Singh, and Rookie of the Year Todd Hamilton. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is held annually in early February.
